My room was one of six (?). A beautifully designed living room with terrace and a well-equipped kitchen complete the flat. A very small bathroom with toilet and shower is to be shared. Unfortunately, the roommates did not care about cleanliness at the bathroom. Honestly, it was an imposition, but is not to blame the landlord. The price is a bit on the high side. Br Ed"

Graeme·5·Aug. 2018· "A fantastic traditional French auberge run by two wonderful men. It's deep in the Ecrins National Park and to get there you go to "beyond" then head for the very back - it's remote! Fantastic walks from the doorstep with typical dramatic alpine botany and scenery.
Nicolas is your flirty friendly host and he deftly juggles plates and people at each mealtime, while Julien slaves away in the kitchen producing fantastic meals that are way above the usual heavy-duty alpine fare. Sadly we did not get to meet Julien but Nicolas was engaging and helpful despite his limited English and my limited French
They get pretty booked up in the school hols so we ended up with a twin room rather than a double but its really what could be expected from an auberge (hostel).
Go if you love nature and the alps. Don't go if you'd expect to nip into Grenoble for a quickie before dinner."
