I only put 2 stars for location because it is a out of the way (and it is very clean, just a bit cluttered and cramped, but that is Japan), but the price is a bargain. Hiroki goes out of his way to be friendly and helpful."

Gerry·5·Apr. 2025· "Compact room but had everything I needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was no problem in getting a second pillow. The laundry facility they have was a Godsend as I was able to get everything I needed washed for the second half of my trip. Two hours and 3kg or less is washed and dry. Good location as easy access to bus and train connections. The breakfast options in their breakfast restaurant were too limited for me but I found a very nice bakery/restaurant nearby that opens at 07.30 with a range of options that worked for me. I stayed four nights and I recommend it as a good base for visiting Kyoto."
