What to expect

A completely original and novel way to get to know Buenos Aires and its LGTBIQ+ history! Through a voice-over narration transmitted through headphones, we invite you to learn about the life of José María Di Bello: an Argentinean reference for the recognition of rights who grew up in that area, going through his identity and sexual discoveries and his first love affairs. His voice, a guide and an immersive sound environment will guide us through these streets and their history, characters, codes and music, paying tribute to the area that was, during the 80s and 90s, emblem, home and refuge of a part of the collective of sexual diversity and dissidence in Buenos Aires. What to expect from this tour? Participants of this immersive tour will be equipped with headphones that will allow them to immerse themselves in history. As they walk through the streets of Santa Fe Avenue, they will hear the voice of JoséMa, who will share his personal experiences, his identity and sexual discoveries, his struggle for the recognition of rights and his first loves. The voice-over narration will be intertwined with a soundtrack that will recreate the atmosphere and culture of the time, providing attendees with a unique sensory experience. At the same time, we will stop at emblematic places of Santa Fe Avenue, getting to know its historic buildings and its iconic nightclubs and bars. Throughout the tour, participants will discover characters, codes and music that defined this important era in the history of sexual diversity in Buenos Aires. Meeting point: 1350 Santa Fe Av. Ending point: Beruti and Coronel Díaz Duration: Approximately 90 minutes Route: Almost 2 kilometers, on foot and by subway Capacity: Up to 27 participants per group No cancellation due to rain.
