Cancun: the paradise for gay tourists

Mexico is one of the most popular destinations for gay and lesbian travelers. Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta are still the most popular destinations for gay travelers.

The reason Cancun is so popular with tourists today is of course because of the gay friendly atmosphere and the accessibility between the airport, your hotel and the tourist attractions.

In Cancún, you will find several types of accommodations. From all-inclusives to apartments and beachfront villas, there is something for every budget. Luxury is of course one of the strong points of the city. But Cancún also offers places to stay at a good price.

You will not find any hotel exclusively for gays and lesbians. But some are more suitable for gay couples. Especially those whose hotels do not have facilities for babies and young children.

If you walk through the old neighborhoods of Cancún, you will find good little restaurants. Don't be surprised to see American restaurant chains, as Cancún has become very Americanized in recent years. But even today, you will find independent restaurants that have kept all the flavors of Mexican gastronomy.

Here in Cancún, the nightlife never starts before 10pm. You will have some gay clubs located in downtown Cancún or in Playa del Carmen. If you take a cab, say the name of the club and the driver will most likely know it by name.

After all, when you go south to relax, it's for the beaches. Cancún has the best beaches, all the way to Tulum. No beach is strictly for gays. For that, you have to go to the Pacific coast, at the entrance of Puerto Vallarta. Forget about the popular beach strictly for men. It is still discreet!

Even if Cancún is far from being Puerto Vallarta for its gay friendly side, you will still have a great time on one of the resort's beaches.
