La Conviviale

Boulogne-sur-Mer has no gay bar, but the local LGBTQ+ community still has a regular home thanks to Fiertés Pas-de-Calais, whose Boulonnais branch runs a friendly monthly meetup known as La Conviviale. Held at community spaces around town, it's a warm, welcoming get-together to meet others, share a coffee and connect with the Côte d'Opale's queer scene, backed by the association's wider work on support, health and culture. The group also throws the town's big annual Pride party, the Bal des Fiertés, each May. For anyone visiting this stretch of coast, it's the best way to plug into local LGBTQ+ life.
