Blond

Blond is the friendly, colorful counterpoint to Schöneberg's fetish bars, a 1970s-inspired gay cocktail bar right on Motzstraße, the heart of Berlin's gay village. It opened in 2008 on a corner of Eisenacher Straße and moved in June 2023 into a much bigger corner location on Motzstraße, with plenty of outdoor tables that give you a front-row view of the neighborhood. The cocktail list runs to more than 80 drinks, and the programming is as playful as the decor: Schlager oldies on Mondays, karaoke on Tuesdays, bingo on Wednesdays, and a jukebox night on Fridays where guests pick the tunes. The crowd is mixed in age (from 18 to 80, the bar likes to say) and mostly men, with plenty of friends and allies, and the bartenders get steady praise. It's an easy first stop on a Schöneberg evening or a place to settle in until 4:00 am.
