Bridie’s - Jurassic Park

Bridie's Bar, affectionately nicknamed "Jurassic Park" for its mature clientele, is the original and smallest part of The George, Dublin's most famous gay bar, and where the whole story began back in 1985. Tucked beside the big nightclub on South Great George's Street, it feels like a proper Dublin local: a quiet, warm, wood-lined room where older regulars gather for an afternoon or early-evening pint, many of them living links to the fight for gay rights in Ireland. Presided over by beloved barman Lee, who famously knows every regular's usual order, it has a genuine home-from-home, community atmosphere, and sitting there, you're literally among the city's queer history.
