The Boilerhouse

The Boilerhouse is Dublin's only gay sauna and the largest men-only bathhouse in Ireland, spread over five floors in the heart of Temple Bar, steps from the city's gay bars. Open since 1997 on a site with a gay-sauna history going back to 1979, it offers a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, private cabins, a darkroom, a sling area, a solarium, a TV and cinema lounge with big screens, and a cafe bar serving coffee and snacks, with free condoms, lube and WiFi. It draws a genuinely mixed crowd from students to seniors, locals and visitors, and its continuous weekend hours make it the natural after-hours destination once the George's Street and Capel Street bars wind down.
