JIN-YA is a compact, long-running gay sauna in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district, widely regarded as the most foreigner-friendly bathhouse in the city. Spread over several floors, it has a dry sauna, communal baths at varying temperatures, a whirlpool, a video room, several relaxation and play areas, and a rooftop nude tanning deck. It's known as a relaxed, friendly spot popular with a mature, bear-and-chub crowd — an easy first sauna for visitors, just a few minutes' walk from Ikebukuro Station.
