Club NYX is a queer legend in the heart of Amsterdam, rising from the ashes of the beloved Exit disco (which partied in this same spot from 1988 to 2010) to become the anchor nightclub of Reguliersdwarsstraat, the city's main gay street. Named for the Greek goddess of the night, it spreads its energy across three floors, each with its own identity: a main floor built for pop anthems and sweaty singalongs, upper levels that swing between techno, house and hip-hop depending on the night, and, in one of Amsterdam nightlife's quirkiest legends, an actual DJ booth in the bathroom. Attitude-free, indie-spirited and famously open-minded, it draws a young, mixed crowd of gay men, students, drag queens and international visitors, all under one roof for a genuine melting-pot night out. The lineup rotates constantly: drag shows, student nights on Thursdays, fetish-inspired events, and the packed weekend "SaturGAY" parties, so every visit feels like a different party, and it's easy to lose the whole night dancing floor to floor.
