Ferry is the beating heart of LGBTQ+ Rotterdam, a stylish, multi-concept venue right downtown that rolls a gay bar, restaurant, nightclub, art gallery and shop into one. By day and early evening it's an easygoing café-restaurant with a creative menu (the burgers and nachos get rave reviews), a coffee-and-panini spot, and a browse-worthy store stocked with LGBTQ+ books, films, art and gifts. By night it becomes the city's go-to queer party: a weekly Manic Monday drag show, Thursday karaoke where drag queens hype your song pick, and flagship weekend club nights like the two-room "Very Fairy Ferry" (pop upstairs, techno in the basement) that anchor Rotterdam Pride. Cheap drinks, good music, glitter, and community — it's welcoming, diverse, and unmistakably the center of the scene.
