Club Papuga

Club Papuga, the "Parrot Club" and self-styled "Rainbow Heart of Kraków," is one of the city's main LGBT+ nightclubs, a big, colorful basement venue in a historic tenement on Dietla between Kazimierz and the Old Town. Kitsch wallpaper, lashings of artificial greenery and a giant disco ball set the tone across two dancefloors and two bars, with a chill-out room, a smoking area and, in warmer months, a lovely courtyard garden. Open Thursday to Saturday, it mixes pop, disco, house and 80s/90s hits with a full calendar of stage events, drag shows, queer bingo and Thursday karaoke, and prides itself on being a safe, welcoming space where people come to have fun rather than pose. Affordable, inclusive and genuinely festive, it's a cornerstone of queer nightlife in Kraków.
