"Excellent reception and support. I stayed alone in a shared room with 6 respectful people. The breakfast, dinner or lunch offered are truly an added value, and of high quality. The shared space available is quite impressive in its size and maintenance. A haven of peace within this "hive" that is the Medina souk. You feel good and completely safe there. Respect is paramount between the different nationalities, ages and genders. A place I really recommend. I was kindly printed my boarding pass for my return to France at reception. The staff is very attentive and you can feel they are in tune with the philosophy of the place. Thank you."

"Riad Meriem is ideally located in a quiet area of the Medina and just a few minutes' walk from the souks and Jemaa el Fna square. The Riad's staff welcomes you with a smile and great availability. Yassine's advice will help you find the best addresses for good Moroccan couscous. Thank you to Riad Meriem for our first stay in Morocco."

"If you're looking for an inexpensive & clean hotel, with friendly & helpful staff, and close to everything... this is the one. However, keep in mind that this is a no-frills hotel. I can't say enough about the young people who staff the reception desk 24-7. I was always greeted with a smile & even though I've become fluent in ********Translate, it was nice to have a conversation in English with these fluent young people; not only did they offer suggestions on places to visit & eat, they were proudly eager to share information about their country & culture. The views of the city from the rooftop & an open-air terrace, one level below, are SPECTACULAR! The only downsides to staying at Hotel Maram - which were minor inconveniences, but there were easy & quick fixes - are, (1) the communal toilets/showers on each floor (but this was clearly stated in the website that I used to reserve my room & I was fortunate to get a room on the 1st floor with its own shower); (2) The WiFi was a bit shoddy at times in my room, but excellent & fast in the reception area, terrace & rooftop; (3) The call to prayer from the mosque that's across the street & 3 buildings away starts at 4:45 a.m. and goes on for a while. Of course, turning lemons into lemonade, it's a perfect time to start your day if you want to walk around the city w/o seeing a lot of tourists and/or view the breathtaking sunrise from the hotel rooftop/terrace."

"Very good Riad. Attentive staff. The only downside would be the mattresses that are really too hard. You shouldn't have back problems."
