Insider tips: Frankfurt has a lot to offer for the gay traveller!

Hallo, meet Karel and Pieter, a young couple who moved from Ghent, Belgium to Frankfurt am Main in March 2014. They both love to travel and meeting travellers and they are proud hosts on misterb&b.

What makes your city a favorite gay destination?
Frankfurt is a very international city with lots of things to see and to do: the Main river, museums, good pubs, great restaurants and the shopping area MyZeil.

Where to start a gay tour in your home city?
If you like shopping go to MyZeil. If you like sauna go to Metropol. If you like leather go to Der Stall.  If you like art go to one of the many museums. If you like three gay bars next to each other go to Elefantengasse. If you like coffee and cake on Sunday go to Switchboard Bar Café.

What is your favorite gay establishment to grab a bite for lunch or a nice dinner?
clb Bar & Club offers a great backyard terrace with a friendly staff or try the Birmingham Pub wich is very central, with a great selection of beer and wine. It also stays open til 6 am! 

Best gay bar for a cheap beer?
Tangerine! It is one of the most popular bars in the gay area, and attracts a diverse crowd.

Best gay bar for a refreshing cocktail?
Bar Central which is another popular place. They make great cocktails and the staff is attentive. If you’re not a smoker, be warned as it can get smoky.
