We’re Andy & Mark, a married couple, and we created The Retreat at Little Oaks so LGBTQ+ travellers and allies could have a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming. This isn’t just another stay. It’s a place to feel safe, celebrated, and free. Whether you’re escaping burnout, craving a romantic getaway, or longing to reset in nature, you’ll find it here.

🌍 Location 🌍

Our retreat sits in ancient semi-natural woodland, minutes from Blaenavon yet surrounded by birdsong, fresh air, and big skies. This UNESCO World Heritage landscape is alive with history, coal trails, and waterfalls. At night, the Brecon Beacons’ dark skies open above you, perfect for stargazing hand in hand, sharing a blanket, or simply losing yourself in the cosmos.

The heart of the retreat is our wellness patio, designed around the rhythm of:

Swim. Heat. Cool. Repeat.

• Heated outdoor pool powered by green energy
• Invigorating sauna where dry heat melts tension and clears the mind
• Ice bath for cold-water therapy
• Sun loungers and a big cabana to stretch out with a drink, wrapped in a robe, or not, since clothing here is optional

The mix of water, heat, and air is designed to reset every part of you. From the calm of floating in warm water, to the fire of the sauna, to the shock of icy clarity, it’s a ritual that leaves you glowing and alive.

Whether you’re a couple seeking romance, friends on an adventure, travelling solo in need of peace, or planning a naughty weekend away with someone special, you’ll find a warm, judgement-free atmosphere.

Taste the best of Wales with award-winning wines from White Castle Vineyard, craft beers from local brewers, and small-batch spirits from artisan distillers. All available on-site, along with teas, coffees, and light bites to enjoy by the pool or cabana.

Beyond the pool and sauna, Mark teaches matwork and equipment Pilates and offers therapies including Craniosacral therapy, Scarwork therapy, and Massage. Plans for a flotation tank will soon add the ultimate reset. Local hiking and cycling trails start right from the retreat.
