An ideal Mid-Wales base for walking, cycling, outdoor activities and exploring the Cambrian Mountains.
Conveniently located in open countryside near Llanidloes (4.8 miles), Caersws (4.8 miles) and Llyn Clywedog (9.4 miles), our lodge is positioned by itself in our private garden and provides centrally heated accommodation for year-round use.
Access is available to a lockable outbuilding for storage, washing/ drying of bicycles, boots, and outdoor gear; leaving the lodge clean & tidy for a relaxing stay.
Suitable for up to four adults:
King-size bedroom with ensuite shower room.
Second twin bedroom.
Separate bathroom with bath and shower.
Open plan dining kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, fridge freezer.
Sitting room with TV, Freesat channels & Chromecast.
Bluetooth speakers.
WiFi.
Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine.
Extensive views over open countryside and along the Trannon Valley.
Our home is surrounded by working farmland and it's likely you'll see sheep, lambs (in Spring) and beef cattle, along with red kites and many other birds.
Private parking for two cars is adjacent to the lodge.
7 kW tethered Type 2 electric car charger available (40p per kWh)
If you choose to arrive by train, our nearest station is Caersws (4.6 miles) with direct services from Birmingham, Shrewsbury, Aberystwyth & Pwllheli. Connections from London, Manchester, Edinburgh & Glasgow. The station is approximately 25 minute cycle ride, or ask us and we'll try & collect you.
We have dark skies and on a clear night you'll have a great view of the stars from your raised deck.
Access: the lodge is raised and on a single level. A short concrete path leads from the parking area to 4 steps that take you to a raised deck and the front door. The internal doors are narrow and may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
Pets: Although we do not allow pets at present, we can introduce you to our neighbour who has pet friendly accommodation.
In accordance with Welsh Government regulations, smoking is not permitted.
We do not have facilities for BBQs at the present time. Please do not use disposable BBQs.
Portable air conditioner available subject to additional daily charge.
