If you're looking for gay, queer, alternative, and genuinely local Lisbon, this is a fantastic area to stay.

The apartment is in Penha de França / Sapadores, right between Graça, Monte Agudo, Senhora do Monte, Anjos, and Intendente—one of the city’s most interesting areas for LGBTQ+ culture, alternative nightlife, creative people, and authentic Lisbon life.

🌅 MONTE AGUDO VIEWPOINT — 3-MINUTE WALK

Quite literally just around the corner from the apartment.

Monte Agudo is one of those local Lisbon spots that still feels like a hidden gem. A beautiful panoramic viewpoint with a relaxed, alternative, and slightly hipster atmosphere—popular with a young, creative, friendly, and queer-friendly crowd.

There’s a small kiosk serving drinks and food, outdoor seating, and deck chairs where you can sit back, listen to music, meet people, and enjoy the view. It’s especially lovely around sunset.

It’s also known for occasional DJ sets and outdoor sunset events, making it a great place to kick off the evening before heading out into Lisbon’s nightlife.

A dedicated sapphic / LGBTQ+ bar and cultural space right in the neighborhood. A particularly interesting spot for lesbian, bisexual, and queer women, as well as anyone looking for a more community-focused LGBTQ+ space.

A nearby alternative, creative, and queer-friendly bar, nestled among the laid-back nightlife of Senhora do Monte. Great for drinks and mingling with a local, young, and open-minded crowd.

One of Lisbon’s most interesting queer bars and performance spaces, just a short walk away.

Expect drag, cabaret, burlesque, karaoke, live music, comedy, themed parties, and dancing, with a very diverse LGBTQ+ crowd. The basement is used for performances and dance events.
