Hello everybody, I'm Joe, and I've got a small, but cosy and sunny double room to rent in my flat in Clapton, Hackney E5.

For the moment I'm just renting out my spare room. I live in the flat alone, so looking to have people to come and stay, either for a day, a few, or a few weeks - up to a month or so.

The room is available for a single person, or for two. Linen and towels will be provided. Feel free to make use of the Wifi throughout the house, the kitchen, the bathroom, the washing machine, and the sofa and TV in the lounge. Please make yourself at home and don't be shy! I'd like your stay to be as pleasant as possible, and for you to feel able to communicate with me about your needs, particularly if you're moving to London or visiting for the first time. I think my city is great, so I hope you will feel the same too. I'm pretty easy going, but there is zero tolerance for any prejudice or nastiness.

The flat is part of a larger Victorian house, on one of the tree lined Clapton streets, just off Lower Clapton Road.

Nearby Attractions

There are various places to eat, go shopping for groceries, or go for a drink nearby, and i'm very happy to give you any suggestions. There is a great bus network to Shoreditch, Victoria, Dalston, Oxford Street, London Bridge, Euston, King's Cross, Stratford (and more). Clapton overground station is a 5 minute walk for direct trains to Liverpool Street, and Hackney Central station is a 5 minute bus ride (15 min walk) for trains to Islington & Stratford. Stations at Hackney Downs, Rectory Road and Lea Bridge are all within a 15 minute walk, or a short bus journey.

The house is well located to visit the lovely Chatsworth Road Market on a Sunday, London Fields and Broadway Market, Columbia Road, Clissold Park and Stoke Newington's Church Street. It's also a very pleasant walk to Lea Valley Park and Hackney Marshes.

WIFI, washing machine, cooking and storage facilities, dishwasher, TV, lounge area, bathroom. Nothing off limits (within the boundaries of common sense, obviously :)) I'd really love you to feel at home here, and feel able to communicate with me about your needs during your stay. As much or as little as the guest wishes :). I usually intend to be present during your stay, but in the rare occasion that I may be away, I shall make sure you're well looked after in my absence with regards to checking in etc, and if you've any problems. I'm very happy to make recommendations about the area, where to eat, where to go for a drink and places to visit. I hope that from time to time I'll be able to show you personally.

I had a great stay at Joseph's place. Joe's a great guy and very interesting. I truly enjoyed the chats we had. I didn't realize it was so far out of the center, but I chalk that up to my ignorance. That being said public transportation into the various parts of the city were plentiful! And I easily managed getting around.

Joseph and his place were great. I liked the neighborhood a lot in terms of the different food options for dinner. The room was private so I had my own space, and Joseph was super pleasant - enjoyed the few conversations we had. I would for sure stay here again on a future trip to London!
