Le MaÏdo: One of the most beautiful viewpoints, only 20 minutes away you'll find one of the highest points of Reunion Island. You can observe the cirque de mafate and even get there on foot.

Dos D'âne: A small village set in a mini cirque in the hills above La Possession. It is the starting point for three major trails.

Étang Saint Paul: Classified as a National Nature Reserve in ******** years ago this year!), the Etang de Saint-Paul boasts exceptional flora and fauna. The area is now protected: for example, construction is regulated, and it's forbidden to disturb animals or pick plants. To put it simply, just wander around Etang de Saint-Paul and take in the sights - it's a real pleasure.

Saint Paul market: Saint-Paul's fairground market takes place on Fridays all day long and on Saturday mornings on the town's waterfront (we advise you to go on Friday mornings, when the market is in full swing).
It's a colorful market with over 300 stallholders selling local produce, spices, fruit, vegetables and more. It is considered one of the most beautiful markets on Reunion Island, and is undoubtedly "the most touristy market" along with that of Saint-Pierre.

Tour des roches: Just a few minutes from Saint-Paul town center, the Tour des Roches is a pleasant circuit for strolling (by car, bike or on foot). The lush vegetation is well worth the detour, especially in the early morning or late afternoon, to enjoy the play of light from the rising or setting sun.

Beaches (less than 15 minutes away): L'Ouest boasts some of the most beautiful beaches on Reunion Island, with something for everyone:
Farniente, sunbathing, swimming, games, snorkeling, black sand or white sand, lagoon or open sea...
They're all safe and supervised!
THE LAGON: With a coral reef stretching over 12 km, the lagoon is the ideal place to take your children swimming, but also to admire our friends the fish, equipped with flippers, mask and snorkel! You won't find a lagoon anywhere else but on the west coast. The beaches have an undeniable advantage when you don't want to "grill" in the sun all day: numerous filaos trees line the family beaches (Ermitage - Saline-les-Bains - Saint-Leu).
OPEN SEA: We have two open sea beaches in the west: Boucan Canot and Roches Noires. Both are supervised and secured by a safety net, so you can swim without fear and enjoy a good "bath" in the sun!

Village de l'Eperon: The artisanal village of l'Eperon will be a disappointment for those who imagine they can watch small craftsmen at work and snatch up bundles of souvenirs for a pittance. Few artists work here, and the products are very expensive. Cost of living be damned!

Cap La Houssaye: Located along Réunion's west coast, between the Saint-Paul marine cemetery and Boucan Canot beach, Cap La Houssaye marks the southern limit of Saint-Paul bay. It was named after the Breton captain Guillaume La Houssaye. Best whale-watching spot in season.

The marine cemetery: The marine cemetery was established in 1788 on the site of Baie de Saint-Paul, said to be the first French settlement on Reunion Island.

Grotte des premiers Français: This grotto (or cavern) is said to be the place where the first occupants of Reunion Island took refuge in 1663... The cave, located at the southern entrance to the town of Saint-Paul, is also said to be a former Malagasy slave cemetery.

At 100m: Le petit creux d'Aurore, a very good address for a local, quick, good and inexpensive lunch.
300m: One of the island's best bakeries, "l'ile au pains".
300m away: The small center of La Plaine Saint Paul with various small shops (pharmacies, butcher's, greengrocers, snacks, fast food, etc.).
300m away: every Sunday, opposite the bread island, you can buy your roast chicken.
300m away: Pulcinella, Italian restaurant. Not much to look at, but very good food.
2 Km: Les délices de Savannah, semi-gastronomic restaurant. Very good lunchtime address.
