URBN-21: Digital nomad apartment in gay friendly Barrio Escalante

NOISY PART OF TOWN:
The building is located next to the busiest avenue between downtown San José and the Eastern suburbs. The location is also a few blocks away from a train station and there are trainlines to the North and to the South of the building. The workday starts early in Costa Rica and despite being 21 floors above street level the noise from cars, buses but specially trains starts from early in the morning. Earplugs are highly recommended for light sleepers. This is not a suitable location for someone who needs absolute quiet.

AIR CONDITIONING:
This unit does not have air conditioning. The temperature range in San Jose is between 18 and 26 degrees Celsius (65 to 79 Fahrenheit) year round. This is reasonably comfortable by most standards. We feel strongly that an air conditioner is an invitation to waste energy and that there is no such thing as an environmentally friendly air conditioner.

LOCKING THE FRONT DOOR: The front door it is not immediately locked when you close it. Please remember to lock the door each time you enter or leave the apartment.

NO SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in the apartment and it is also not allowed in the common areas of the building. If we notice that the apartment smells like smoke after your checkout, you will loose your ********.

DISPOSING OF WASTE: There's a trash can in the kitchen and another one in the bathroom. You will find trash bags under the kitchen sink. On the hallway, opposite to our front door there's a room with a trash shoot. Please make sure you dispose of all waste properly bagged. It is forbidden to throw glass through the trash shoot. Glass and other recyclables must be taken to the recycling room on garage level S1.

NOISE: Please be considerate to our neighbours. Refrain from playing loud music or making other loud noises after 10 PM. Maximum noise level allowed is 65 decibels. In the event of a complaint by neighbours, the front desk is equipped to measure if this level is exceeded. If the situation persists they may call the police.

GUESTS: the maximum occupancy of the apartment is 3 persons. Parties are not allowed. Should you want to invite guests you may do so. Maximum number of people in the apartment at any one time may not exceed 6 persons. All guests must be announced at the front desk to gain entry into the building.

PARKING: The apartment includes an assigned parking space on Parking Level 2. Please do not park on any unassigned spaces. There are only a limited number of guest parking spots. These may only be used if authorized by the front desk.
