After staying with Mark and Mark We can only say now they are Family to us. Their behaviour to us was beyond being owners of the House. We had a medical trouble and they arranged visit to Hospital getting us with his own very car, picking us Up then, taking to chemist.... Apart from that we shared a lot with them, drinks, dinner, conversation...and wonderful view from the deck. We cant say THANKS enough.
Markie and Mark are outstanding hosts. Kind, thoughtful, and considerate, they made us feel right at home in their home. The view of the estuary and peace from the natural surroundings were delightful. We enjoyed interacting with Fred the tortoise and the hens (Treacle, Wilma and Betty). We wouldn't stay anywhere else and can't recommend them highly enough.
I stayed at this place for a while and the experience was more than wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet, which made my stay enjoyable. The host was cooperative, understanding, and provided everything I needed. I appreciate their warm hospitality and highly recommend staying here
Everything about our stay with the Marks was excellent, from the very warmest of welcomes, to Mark D accepting our invitation to join us for the evening - can't recommend enough Olaf Tun's in Woolston where he took us - to the great conversation and drinks when Mark P got home from work, to the magnificent breakfast with 'home-grown' eggs at the crack of dawn next morning. It felt like staying with friends and we WILL be going back! The highest recommendation - one might say 'Top Marks'!
Fantastic and very welcoming couple. We had only one night stay so not much chance to know each other but Mark and Mark welcomed us and provided all we needed for a comfort night sleep. Communication was great. Instant replies and so thoughtful. We have been asked if we need anything for breakfast while they were doing their shopping the day before our arrival. Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you for having us and we hope to stay at yours in a future. Best regards Adi and Raff
Great place, great hosts they couldn't do enough to make my stay just wonderful.
I wonder if giving TOO positive a review would backfire and make this place so popular that I could never book it again. We were pretty much over b&b but these men changed our tune. Not sure if we could ever find as generous, helpful, friendly people. It felt like old friends welcoming us into their home and lives - an experience we are unlikely to forget. Made our stay in Southampton possible and special. Thanks Mark and Mark - would love the opportunity to return the hospitality
Mark and Mark are so lovely and great hosts. Communication before arrival was great and the location is so pretty - I wish I had brought my binoculars to watch the birds. The mattress was really comfy and I had a great night's sleep. They have a folder of really useful information, including the local shops, which are within walking distance. I wish I could have stayed longer. If I am back in Southampton, I hope I can stop with them again.
Mark & Markie; From the moment we arrived at this charming place, we were made to feel right at home. The bedroom was very clean and spacious. M&M thought of everything from power adapters, a welcome basket to snacks, large soft bath towels and yes, believe it not, endless hot water for those of us who enjoy an extended hot shower to freshen up after a busy day of sightseeing and trekking across the Isle of Wight. Each evening we enjoyed great conversation over various recipes of G&T in the cozy living room or on the back deck overlooking the river. Additionally, M&M provided precise instructions about catching the bus for the short trip back into the city center. Our first evening staying with them, we invited them to join us for dinner in town. (The tasty generous food portions did not disappoint). Because we felt so much at home, by the time our second evening came around, we asked if we could cook dinner for them. So, David & Mark cooked while Markie and I made the G&T’s. Their home and spirit of hospitality far exceeded any expectations we had. Over our brief stay, we felt as if we had made new friends and that we did. We will come back to Southampton; if not for additional sightseeing, then just to visit with M&M again. These guys went over and beyond for us. Spoil yourself by booking a stay with these amazing gentlemen.
To say that our stay with Mark and Mark was misterbnb at its best would still be an understatement. The room and house were great. The hosts are friendly, charming, and super accommodating. All in a fine location. Whether visiting Southampton or passing through on your way to a cruise, be sure to book time with these two gents.
