Moorview House B&B is a completely refurbished former farm house situated within the North Devon Biosphere. Ideally situated on a 1-acre plot with far reaching views over open countryside. Guests are free to roam in the paddock and relax in the small copse to listen to the array of birdsong and experience the peace and tranquility. Our 3 en-suite rooms are designed for privacy, we do not have a resident’s lounge or dining room. Your continental breakfast is delivered to your room for you to enjoy breakfast in bed! Situated in a semi-rural location, yet only 10 minutes drive to stunning beaches and the ancient towns of Bideford and Great Torrington. The South West Coast path and Tarka Trail is close by plus both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, with their unique charm and character are waiting to be explored and are also within easy reach.

Having lived in or around London most of our lives and holidaying in Devon frequently, we fell in love with the beautiful unspoilt coast and countryside of North Devon, we decided to relocate back to Moorview House in 2019. We love the peace and quiet with lots of beautiful walks nearby and several stunning beaches within a few minutes drive. Along with our 2 dogs we like walking and exploring the coastline. Following extensive refurbishment, we decided to open our house to paying guests so they too can enjoy the peace and quiet and beauty of the Devon countryside, as we do.

Moorview House B&B is ideally placed for exploring the North Devon coast. We are only 3 miles from Bideford , also ******** Town”, which is situated on the River Torridge. In the other direction you have the pretty town of Great Torrington which is also home to The Royal Horticultural Society’s Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Glass and the 1646 civil war heritage Center. For walkers and cyclists there are many country lanes to explore plus we are close to The famous Tarka Trial which offers 180 miles of walks/cycle routes with stunning scenery. For keen fishermen, we have the 1.5 acre lake at Gammaton - a first class mixed fishery, within 2 minutes walk, plus several other lakes and the sea within a short drive. For surfers we are within a short drive to the popular surfing spots of Westward Ho!, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough Sands. There are 2 local pubs, The Hunters Inn and The Cydre Presse within a few minutes drive and an array of restaurants and bars in nearby Bideford. There is a farm shop at the end of the lane which offers a full range of local produce. The market town of Barnstaple with its listed Pannier market is within a scenic 20-minute drive. The magical unspoilt island of Lundy can be reached by ferry from Bideford.
A few other places not to be missed: Clovelly- A picturesque fishing Village and harbour Hartland Abbey and Quay Ilfracombe- traditional seaside town and beach Appledore- picturesque waterfront village Instow- (our closest beach) great walks and some good restaurants Lynton and Lynmouth-Riverside and clifftop villages linked by the Victorian Cliff railway, great walks along the valley

Terms and Conditions Moorview House is exclusively for adults and we do not accommodate infants or anyone under 16 years of age. We are unable to accommodate stag or hen parties. No Pets We take a non-******** for the first night of your stay. If your arrival date is within 8 days of your booking, we will take the full payment, which is also non-refundable. If you cancel within 8 days, full payment for your entire stay will be taken. Cancel 8 days or more before your arrival date and no further payment will be taken. We accept deposits by Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Mastercard and American Express or bank transfers. The balance is to be paid at Moorview House. If we are unable to take payment, we will advise you by email and request updated card details. If we do not hear from you within 24 hours of contacting you by email, your booking will be cancelled. Whilst we appreciate sometimes people need to cancel bookings due to personal, business, health or travelling issues, there are no exceptions to the non-refundable fees or full payments if cancellation is made within 8 days of your arrival. We recommend taking out holiday insurance to cover any costs you may incur, however unlikely you think your cancellation may be. We advise taking out insurance either before or immediately after you book in order to cover yourself fully. COVID-19: We reserve the right to amend or suspend some services to ensure our guests stay safe and to comply with Government guidelines. The maximum occupancy of all rooms is two people. Please do not smoke or vape on the premises. Lost keys are charged at £25 to enable us to get new keys cut and bespoke key fobs. Free parking is available at owners risk. We reserve the right to refuse admission on the grounds of the health and safety of other guests and staff.
