West Hampstead is a hub very well deserved in matter of public transports, such as Tube (West Hampstead Sataion), Trains "overground" & especially "Tames Link" train station direct to and from Gatwick as well as Luton, and has 3 bus routes. Lots of restaurants, boutiques, and food halls, even a 25/7 Nisa located between the tube station and my home. 20mn by tube to Hide Park Station. Post Office (in the church opposite the flat). Etc. For guests coming from another airport such as Heathrow, please ask and I will provide you with all possibilities to come home.
