Beautiful 1B apartment in Barranco, Lima Peru.

We were disappointed in the apartment and didn't feel the description was accurate. The biggest complaint was that it was in a state of disrepair. The ceiling had had previous serious water damage and the plaster was falling off. The closet door to the utility area had fallen off at some point and was just left standing in a corner. The bed was missing a pillow so we had to use the decorative pillows which were not very comfortable. In general the apartment just felt well used and not cared for. The apartment has no A/C so we slept with the windows open and it was quite noisy. When we arrived and realized that things weren't what we expected, I reached out to the host who seemed nice (you never meet them everything is via text).. and he said they haven't had time to fix the issues which to me is unacceptable.

Guys at reception not very efficient. Took a little time to get key. Communications with owners had fast responses. Flat is well located for Barranco and Miraflores is a short walk away. Apartment has everything you would need. It is a fairly new building. As for safety? I felt safe in this area.

Nice appartment near Barranco Center, close to many good restaurants, bakerys and also the beach. If You want somewhere central near Miraflores this is the place to be

Barranco is best place to stay in Lima. appt us very quiet and has all you need. plenty of restaurants amd bars nearby. convenient also for Metropolitano...the largest cross city transport system Price is fine....in general Lima is a fairly expensive city, in particular by S American standards
