From here you can go to Setúbal, which is 15 minutes away by car, Lisbon, 35 minutes away by car, the nudist beaches of Meco, 25 minutes away by car, Palmela castle nearby, and the Bacalhoa wine cellars and museum nearby. The beaches of Caparica, like the nudist beaches of Gay (19th beach), are about 25 minutes away by car. The Serra da Arrábida is wonderful for hiking and around the house you can also go for long walks in the countryside. You can rent horses and in 15 minutes you have a golf club at Quinta do Peru. In winter you can enjoy a nice fireplace with a glass of local wine. The house is in the Azeitão wetlands, which has wonderful places to eat the specialties of Azeitão, such as Tortas de Azeitão (sweets), great bread, fantastic wines (José Maria da Fonseca and Bacalhoa), wine cellars, and good restaurants.
