The Reveal
Quinta de S. Filipe, located in Setúbal, in the easternmost part of the Serra da Arrábida, is 44 km from Lisbon. This centenary estate, on a hillside, has breathtaking views of the city of Setúbal, the Castle of São Filipe and the Tróia Peninsula are just on the other side, where the gaze goes beyond Sines (Alentejo Coast). As the local poet Antonio Gedeão would say, "where one gets drunk of all the blue". At our feet, the beautiful bay of Sado extends into the Atlantic Ocean, framed by the majestic Serra da Arrabida . During the day, fishing boats, sailboats, commercial ships, new catamarans and ferries cross the bay, making us forget the time... At dusk, the thousands of lights that illuminate Setúbal, the castle of S. Filipe and the entire peninsula of Troia spread out on the horizon.
Known for its breathtaking beauty, one is carried away and surrounded by the magic of this mountain and this sea.
The scent of rosemary, pine, and all the vegetation of the mountain, merge with the fresh sea air.
