One of the worst hostels to book with and a I've been with many. It's a shame that these people are the ones that give you a bad impression of Icelandic people but I know they don't represent everyone in the island. Would NOT recommend booking with them and am surprised they are welcome on the Mister BNB app. NOT allies, that's for sure.

Excellent hostel! It was very clean, and everything was organized quite well, including checkin, checkout, storing bags, getting towels, etc. The breakfast, pizzas and beer available in the lounge were all great too, and inexpensive (especially compared to the prices in the rest of Iceland!)

Kex is quite a nice hostel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bedding, wifi, and towels were all easily available. Cleanliness in the rooms and common areas was all perfect, but I found that one of the bathrooms tended to be somewhat flooded after one person used the shower, since the shower had very little separation from the rest of the bathroom. Great beer and pizza is available in the lounge area, which is closed down at 11pm, so that people can sleep. Check-in & check-out were quick & easy.
