Set within a 1000-acre private nature reserve in Central America’s last remaining lowland tropical rainforest in Costa Rica’s wild Osa Peninsula. Offering an outdoor pool and views of the sea, Lapa Rios Ecolodge is set in Puerto Jiménez, 20 mi from Golfito.

17 private bungalows line three ridges overlooking the pristine point where the Golfo Dulce meets the Pacific Ocean. Certain rooms include a seating area where you can relax. A terrace or patio are featured in certain rooms. Each room is fitted with a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower.

Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. A number of activities are offered in the area, such as snorkeling and fishing.

The property is about 12 mi from the nearest airstrip in the town of Puerto Jimenez, a short 50 minute flight from Costa Rica’s San Jose Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO). Driving from SJO to Lapa Rios Eco Lodge takes about 7 hours.

Please note there is no air-conditioning, Internet, televisions or phones on the Lapa Rios property. Please note the property is located on a ridge which requires uphill walking (about 200 steps from lowest bungalow to the dining area). Please note that only children older than 6 years are welcome due to the limited opportunities to enjoy the place for children younger than that age. Please note that the children's rate is only for kids between 6 and 11 years old. Children as from 12 years old pay the adult rate.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
