Important to remember that it is a homestay not a hotel. For budget accommodation I highly recommend this place. It is a relatively short distance to Kandy lake and the city. I'm 62 and was able to walk from the city back to the homestay. Tuk Tuk's are also plentiful in the area and there are eateries within walking distance."

Andre·5·Jun. 2023· "My stay at The Peacock guesthouse was simply amazing! The location was perfect, close to all the action but situated in a nice quiet neighborhood. The guesthouse is newly renovated, very clean with modern decor and finishings. Everything you may need for a longer term stay is available. The hot tub is great for relaxing, laundry faculties are available, parking for a car, everything you may need is available.
We extended an additional month because of how perfect it is and we didn't want to leave. Gary and John are amazing hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They became our friends in no time and we went out several times with them to dinner and to some of the local venues.
If your looking for a nice place that feels like home, look no further. So glad we made the choice to stay with Garry and John."

Vladimir was a wonderful host and we really enjoyed meeting him and chatting during our stay. He was very good with communication and gave us great details about check in and local recommendations. He is outside city center a bit, but public transportation is just at the end of the block and very very easy to use!"
