Each place in Acapulco, Mexico, has its own personality, while retaining its natural beauty. Acapulco means a vacation in the sun. A good way to break the harsh winter by lounging on one of Acapulco's beaches.

Here is a small guide to the beaches of Acapulco and information for visitors who want to experience the beaches to discover.

Pie de las Cuesta
The beach of Pie de las Cuesta is made of yellow sand. It is one of the most pleasant places to walk in the area. Your long walk will be pleasant, because the place is beautiful to look at. Not far from this beach, you will discover a small town called Coyoca Lagoon where an evening meal will be more than pleasant. The beach of Pie de las Cuesta is quiet and you will experience the atmosphere of tropical beaches.

Playas Caleta
Playa Caleta is the favorite beach of the people who live there. On some days this beach is particularly popular. If you like to share and talk with the locals, this is the place to be. For those who will be in this part of Acapulco and would like to have a beach that is a little quieter, go to Playa Roquette located in the old part of the city. The place is isolated, giving way to a rustic Mexican style.

Playa las Hamacas
Playa las Hamcas beach offers a breathtaking view of the sunset. If you have time and love to explore, this is the beach for you! Don't forget your camera, because here you'll love to take some shots! The atmosphere is totally Mexican.

Acapulco's gay beach
And yes... Acapulco has its own gay beach. It was one of the first Mexican destinations to adopt a gay friendly image... long before Puerto Vallarta. For those who would like to sunbathe on Acapulco's gay beach, you'll have to go to Condesa Beach. The area between Beto's Restaurant and the Condesa Hotel is a place where gay men meet every day!
