On the gay friendly road of Pattaya: beaches, hotels and bars

After more difficult moments in Thailand with a civil war, much less important in reality than presented by the Western media, here is that the country rises proudly and represents us its sure values.

Pattaya is a colorful tourist destination. Unfortunately, it has become known for its sex tourism, severely reprimanded by several tourist guides. This is an option still present in Pattaya. Of course, the city offers much more than just sex, but a safe haven for all gay and lesbian tourists.

Only two kilometers south of the famous Pattaya Beach is the gay beach of Jomtien. It is a 6 kilometer long sandy beach, far from the sometimes heavy noise of the main city beach.

This place is ideal for gay travelers for its beach, but also for the gay or gay friendly establishments that nestle not far from this beach.

The access between Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach can easily be done by minibus that connects the two places. The tuk-tuk is also a good low cost means of transportation for Westerners. Say with confidence your destination and you will have no problem there.

When you get to Jomtien Beach, walk towards the beach where you should pass the Bamboo Bar, one of the gay bars in the Pattaya area that is open every day. Once you've had a good drink with friends or your lover, walk along the shoreline and you'll be at the gay beach of Pattaya.

Gay accommodation near the beach
For those who don't want to be far from the gay beach of Pattaya, there is the Tui's PlaceHotelwhich is known to be very gay friendly. From your hotel, you will have access to all the most gay friendly places in the city. Be aware that you have to walk a bit to get to downtown Pattaya. The access to the tuk tuk or the cab will be easy in both directions.

So as soon as you see the increase of men on the beach, the gay flags flying over the place and the same sex couples, these are just some indications that you are near the gay area of Pattaya.

Pattaya, like many places in Thailand, is open to gay and lesbian clientele. You too can say that your vacations in Thailand were too short.
