Bonita Café

Bonita Café is a stylish, gay-popular coffee shop in the heart of central São Paulo, set on a corner of Praça da República on the ground floor of the Niemeyer-designed Edifício Eiffel, about a block from the iconic Copan, and, as one of our hosts put it, a very nice place for a date. Opened in 2023, it's serious about its coffee, with a curved central bar where you can sit up close to the baristas and work through a range of brew methods, backed by well-made pastries and sandwiches. Clean, minimalist, and intimate, with big doors that open onto the street buzz and friendly service, it's an easy, welcoming spot for a great cup, a catch-up, or a low-key date in the center, near standout neighbors like A Casa do Porco.
