Pegasus On Church

Pegasus On Church is the Village's beloved neighborhood bar, running since 1993 and one of the longest-standing gay bars in Church-Wellesley after Woody's itself. A fully licensed two-floor space just south of Wellesley, it trades the big dance-floor energy of its neighbors for a calmer, more conversational vibe; pool tables, pinball, electronic darts, and shuffleboard set the scene for an easy, social evening. The weekly calendar is the real draw: drag bingo nights with Bebe Brunges, karao-gay with Maria Allass, trivia, league nights and stand-up comedy from local LGBTQ+ talent, all served by famously friendly, loyal bartenders (Simon gets a particular shout-out from regulars). Older-skewing, local-friendly, and proudly inclusive, it's the place to actually have a real conversation before walking three doors down to keep the night going.
