As one of the LGBT-friendly cities in Canada, gay Toronto does not disappoint the queer shopper. And while many gay-specific stores exist within the Gay Village, there are also handfuls of boutique men’s shops that cater to all style tastes. You may begin to think that Toronto may just be the Milan of Canada.
Right on Church Street is Out On The Street, touted as “Canada’s Gay Department Store”. The store offers three levels of underwear, athleisure wear, casual wear, and sportswear, featuring favorite brands like Andrew Christian, Timoteo, and American Jock, as well as a full collection of sex toys and pride paraphernalia.
For the best in leather, The Men’s Room (with other locations in Toronto, Chicago, and Montreal) and Northbound Leather Ltd. have you covered, with everything from assless chaps to studly harnesses.
Those looking to dress to the nines will love Sydney’s off Queen Street. It carries sports coats, button-downs, and trousers that are made (and tailored) to fit your body perfectly. There is nothing sexier than a perfect fit.
Uncle Otis, near the Gay Village, carries the hippest collection of modern, lumbersexual menswear, featuring brands such as Filson, Clarks, Hestra, Canada Goose, and Tanner Goods.
Finally, the highest and hippest fashion (as well as a stunning shoe collection) is found at Serpentine. But be sure to bring daddy’s credit card: those prices are high!
