Maguelone beach is one of the most preserved beaches of the Languedoc-Roussilon coastline, a stretch of sand and pebbles (depending on the area) sandwiched between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pierre Blanche pond. In the center of this beach, a favorite of naturalists since the 1960s, is the cathedral of Maguelone.
