Reinas, meaning "Queens," is Puerto Vallarta's dedicated queen-themed gay bar, a cozy, LGBTQ+-owned dive in the heart of the Zona Romántica gayborhood that goes all-in on royalty, walls of princesses and queens from around the world, and a dress-up box of tiaras, feather boas, dresses, and heels for anyone who wants to play. Open since 2010 by owner Marcus Van Groeningen, it's beloved for its camp charm, cheap drinks, warm, personalized service from the owner and adorable waiters, and a great mix of locals and foreigners, leaning toward a friendly, mature crowd. With drag shows throughout the week and a lively happy hour, it's a fun, unpretentious spot to have a drink, put on a hat, and meet people. God save the queens.
