Whenever I return to Torremolinos, I’m reminded why this little beach town has become one of Europe’s great queer escapes. Gay bars in Torremolinos and gay clubs in Torremolinos feel larger than life — sun-soaked by day, joyfully chaotic by night, and always full of warm, welcoming locals. The LGBTQ+ scene here has a wonderfully relaxed Mediterranean rhythm: beach first, cocktails second, dancing third.
And during Festival del Día de San Juan — when bonfires light up the beaches each June — the entire town feels even more festive, with La Nogalera’s bars overflowing late into the night.
We at misterb&b love Torremolinos because it’s the kind of destination where you instantly feel part of the community. (As always, we only include venues that are currently open and active.)
Torremolinos may be small, but the queer nightlife is wonderfully concentrated — almost everything you need sits within a short walk.
The beauty of Torremolinos is that you can move seamlessly from sun lounger to terrace drink to dance floor without ever needing a car.
Some of my favorite days in Torremolinos start on the beach with a cold drink, and my favorite nights begin on a terrace in La Nogalera. It’s social, relaxed, and full of friendly regulars who return year after year.
Bars typically warm up around 9–10 PM, but things don’t reach full swing until after midnight.
Torremolinos punches far above its weight when it comes to clubbing. The energy rivals much larger cities — and the crowds are wonderfully international.
Weekends are prime time, but in summer, nearly every night becomes a party.
Over the years, I’ve learned that staying close to both the beach and La Nogalera makes the Torremolinos experience effortless. With misterb&b, you can stay with LGBTQ+ hosts who know the town’s nightlife inside out.
No matter where you stay, the combination of beaches, terraces, and late-night dancing makes Torremolinos feel like a queer Mediterranean paradise.
