Drawdown Brewing is a small LGBTQ+ and woman-owned brewery and taproom in Egleston Square, Jamaica Plain, that opened in December 2023 and was founded by owner and head brewer Liz Nicol. It was built as a welcoming community space and has become a go-to for queer women and women's sports fans, with three TVs that prioritize women's games, a fantasy league, and RuPaul's Drag Race viewing nights. The beers are easygoing and malt-forward, including a cream ale, an altbier, a porter, and a hazy IPA, with non-alcoholic seltzer and root beer for anyone skipping alcohol. There's no kitchen, so bring food from nearby spots, and the seasonal outdoor seating adds room in warm weather. Look out for special events on some weeknights, like a sapphic board game social.
