Matt and Martin are two enthusiastic hosts in Prague. They're eager to show you the highlights of gay life in this amazingly liberal city. Here's their insight to help you make the most out of your next stay in Prague. Follow their tips and enjoy the city's landmarks, nightlife and of course its beer. Explore Prague and experience your pride.
How gay-friendly is your city? What’s gay life like there?
Prague is extremely gay friendly. The Czech Republic is well on its way to becoming the first post-communist country to legalize gay marriage. It is also one of the most non-religious countries in the world, and everyone let's everyone live their own life, it's a beautiful thing!

What are the best gay events that take place in your city each year?
Well, Prague Pride is currently happening - and Pride week is always incredible! Prague does summer right and Pride comes right at the height of the season, so bring your short shorts along. There is the Mezipatra Gay Film Festival every year, and if you can't wait for a yearly event - just head to Termix any Saturday night.
We only have 48 hours in your city. What can’t we miss?
Definitely head to Stalin Bar/Metronom to experience some of the best views in the city, and dance to some incredible DJs at the outdoor dance floor in the summer. Also head to Prague Castle and to Strahov Monastery for some of the best beers in town - they’re still brewed by the monks!

What’s your favorite gay place to grab a bite for lunch? A nice dinner?
Café Café is a great gay place - their eye candy and cake are simply the best! If you are looking for Czech food, hit up Lokal Dloha - not necessarily gay, but there is plenty of sausage and cheap beer, it’s a must-visit!
A gay place for brunch on weekends?
I love going to Radost FX - they've got millions of vegetarian choices, which is a plus for all those animal lovers out there. Café Savoy has the most incredible breakfast of all time - but make sure you book a table, or you'll be waiting for hours otherwise.

Best gay place and day for a cheap beer or happy hour?
There is cheap beer every day in Prague - so no need to find a deal. Q Café is always cheap and full of cute boys all through the week!
We’re ready to party! What are the best gay clubs?
Friends is always great for karaoke and drag queens, and it is very tourist friendly. Termix is great for music, meeting cute boys and dancing the night away.
What are the best alternative gay bars and clubs where you live?
There are plenty of gay lounges for a quick drink like Dandy Bar, Flirt and Q Café, while Mecca bar hosts regular gay parties. There is Drake's across the street from our house if leather and fetish are your thing!

Can you share a secret or little-known place to visit in your city?
My favorite pub in the city is Kavarna Mlynska - hidden away in Kampa Park, it's a great place to get away from the crowds! Head to see Charles Bridge on the way home from the club (or get up at 6AM) for the most beautiful view - it will be packed with tourists at any other time! The Astronomical Clock is the most over-rated attraction of all time, no need to wait.
Any beaches, parks or best other places to chill-out?
Letna Park is a great place to wander the day away - it also has loads of pubs to stop at for a drink, along with incredible views to boot.

Where can we get the best view of Prague?
Probably from Strahov Monastery or Stalin Bar/Metronom in Letna Park. Be sure to check out both if you have time! ●
