Gay Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic and its largest city. In fact, Prague is known as one of the most pro-LGBT cities in Central Europe. In 2006 the Czech Republic legalized “registered partnerships” for same-sex couples, giving them most of the same rights of marriage. Gay Prague has a lot to offer visitors from the LGBT community, including many queer bars, clubs, and saunas, so you'll never be bored while visiting this beautiful city!
What Gay Prague offers
Prague’s gay attractions are mainly centered around the Vinohrady neighborhood. Vinohrady is located near the center of gay Prague, and is home to several LGBT bars and clubs such as Termix, Termax and Friends Prague.
While you’re visiting the Vinohrady area you’ll find a couple of popular parks. One of the most popular is Riegrovy Sady (Rieger’s Park) and another is Havlíčkovy Sady (Grebovka Park). The latter is a large park filled with large ancient trees, a wine pavilion, and a vineyard.
Pamper yourself proud in Prague!
If you’re looking to pamper yourself while in Prague, look no further than the local saunas and massage parlors. Labyrint is a newer gay sauna that includes a bar, while Sauna David is the oldest gay sauna in Prague. Some other sauna options are Bonbon and Babylonia.
If you want to see Prague at its proudest, make sure to visit for Prague Pride, typically held in early August. And if you’re looking for more LGBT culture, you can go to Mezipatra, a famous gay film festival taking place in the city. Gay Prague has one more event – Prague Rainbow Spring – an international LGBTQ sports tournament.
