How gay-friendly is Portland?
The community welcomes the LBGTQ community as an integral part of the whole. I know of no places in Portland where openly gay men are not welcome.
What are the best gay events in Portland?
There are many gay events in Portland. The Red Dress Party is every May and it raises funds for local LGBTQ organizations. Portland Pride is in June, along with Portland Black Pride and BearTown. Portland Queer Music Festival is in August. Portland Queer Film Festival is in October. And, of course, the World Naked Bike ride is always fun!
We only have 48 hours in Portland. What can’t we miss?
Powell’s Book Store, Voodoo Donuts, and some of the best quirky restaurants in the Pacific Northwest. Portland is weird and proud of it. Anywhere you go will be interesting. There are multiple gay bars and places to visit.

A favorite gay place to grab a bite to eat?
The Pop Tavern, right around the corner from my place, is very welcoming and has great burgers. For something more upscale, there are numerous award-winning restaurants in Portland. I like the Hairy Lobster.
A gay place for brunch on weekends?
The Bad Habit Room near my place has a great brunch. There are also drag queen sunday brunches at several locations in Portland.
The best gay place for a happy hour?
Portland is known for its microbreweries and there are places on almost every corner that specialize in great brews and eats. If you like beer, Portland is your nirvana!
We’re ready to party! The best gay clubs?
My favorite is Crush Bar, especially the first Saturday of every month which is the 'Pants Off Dance Off' party.

What are the best alternative gay bars and clubs in Portland?
All bars are welcoming, even if they're not labeled as a gay bar. The Local Lounge, a few blocks away from my place is the closest "gay" bar.
Any beaches, parks or best other places to chill-out?
The Oregon coast is beautiful and there are numerous mountains and parks to explore. Oregon is truly stunning in its natural beauty. ●
