10/10, highly recommend. I had a great stay and would definitely come back. The space was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. The location in Woodstock was a standout for me. It's a charming, laid-back neighborhood with a great local feel—plenty of good restaurants, coffee shops, and small businesses within easy walking distance. Public transportation to other parts of the city was convenient and close by. Chris and Banning are wonderful hosts and great guys, communication was always easy and had good recommendations for a 1st time Portland visitor.
Wonderful experience! The photos and description of this place are spot on, and the neighborhood is delightful with many food trucks, coffee shops, grocery stores and more in easy walking distance. Convenient for public transportation as well. The hosts are absolutely amazing — it was like visiting lifelong friends.
I had such a wonderful stay at this guest house! From the start, the check-in process was incredibly simple and welcoming... I never felt like I was intruding on anyone's space. The hosts were thoughtful enough to provide necessities and toiletries, which truly saved me since I forgot a few of my own. They also kept cleaning supplies readily available, something I really appreciated during my longer stay. Inside, the space was both tasteful and comfortable, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was another major plus: I felt safe taking evening walks, and it was so convenient having breakfast, lunch, and dinner options just a block or two away. Despite being in a great neighborhood, noise was pleasantly minimal, which allowed me to relax and unwind. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy, well-appointed, and hassle-free stay!
Had a very nice second stay here for a few more days this trip. The place was great to relax in after long hours of seeing friends and the city. I plan on another booking with these guys in Spring. Highly recommend.
CUTE AND CLEAN!!! This is by far one of the cleanest B&Bs that I have stayed at. The towels and linens smelled fresh and not stale. Water pressure and temperature in the shower were on point. The home was equipped with everything you can think of (bottled water, snacks, bandaids, cotton balls, etc.) The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable to sleep on. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood. I slept very well and I am a light sleeper. The heater and A/C both worked great. The owners were not home during my stay but checking in and out was a breeze. The home is in a great location. Within walking distance are several restaurants, a grocery store, and there’s also a great food truck area, with over a dozen options, just two blocks down the street. There are no exterior photos in the listing, but the property looks like it’s new-construction. I was highly impressed upon arrival. This was my first time in Portland. If I were to come back, I would definitely consider staying here again. I highly recommend this listing to anyone looking to visit Portland.
Chris and Banning have a stunningly appointed guest house with everything you might need during your stay. They are located in a great area near Portland's convenient mass transit. I used to live near their neighborhood and was able to revisit some old favorite places. Interaction with them was friendly, welcoming and fun. I am planning another holiday trip to PDX and will be staying with these guys again. Super nice place and people. ( And Lois the pup too!)
This was my second stay with Chris & Banning, five stars all around, definitely recommend!
Chris & Banning were warm, thoughtful and attentive hosts during our stay. Beautiful garden space, clean accommodations, and super comfy bed. Their tiny house is right on the park and within walking distance to cafes and grocery stores. Highly recommend! :)
