While there is no local LGBTQ* scene, Santa Teresa Gallura offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere for community travelers. In the village, the LGBTQ*-friendly Horizon bar stands out, overlooking Rena Bianca beach with a panoramic view. Santa Teresa attracts many artists who are valuable to the LGBTQ* community, even if they do not explicitly refer to it. For example, Piermauro Malvestiti's Domus de Arte, as well as evening banquets of local crafts.
Gallura's wilderness offers shelter from urban chaos. The Valley of the Moon, a route from Capo Testa, leads to a beach where 1960s-style hippies cross paths with contemporary naturism. Heading west, to Aglientu, there is a complex of beaches between Lu Litarroni and Monti Russu, which are a destination for naturists despite not being officially recognized as such. Heading east, the dunes and surf environment of Isola dei Gabbiani and Porto Pollo frequently lead to naturism in limited sections of these beaches.
On the subject of cruising, the Longonsardo Tower area in the village and the Roman Columns area at Capo Testa are rumored to be particularly interesting. 👀
