Nice Gay Pride is most commonly referred to as the Pink Parade, and it has been coloring the streets of this French city on the Mediterranean since 2004. Nice has one of the largest gay scenes in France, outside of Paris, making the annual Pink Parade a popular, lively celebration of LGBTQ life in the city.
Normally taking place in the heart of summer, towards the end of July, Nice Gay Pride includes an incredible pride parade which usually travels along the famous Promenade des Anglais. This is often followed by an outdoor party, which includes DJs, live performers, and of course loads of new people to meet.
Nice Gay Pride 2019 will be taking place on Saturday, July 27. The highlight is the pride parade, which will kick off from the the intersection of Barla/St Jean-Baptiste at 5pm. The parade will then travel through Rue de Verdun, the Promenade des Anglais, Avenue des Phocéens, and Avenue Jean Jaurès, before returning to the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art. Expect colorful floats, rainbow flags, and of course dreamy July weather, we are talking summer on the Med after all!
From 7pm, Nice Gay Pride will host Pink Drink, out the front of the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art. This large outdoor party will feature DJs, live performers, and loads of party spirit, so be sure to save your energy for this.
Each year, Nice Pride aims to unite all members of the LGBTQ community through a collective, fun-loving event. Recognizing 50 years since the Stonewall Uprising in NYC, Nice Gay Pride will be paying particular attention to the long fight for equality that first came to life on this momentous night in New York. So what's stopping you? Pencil Nice Gay Pride 2019 into your gay events' calendar for the summer, and experience your pride by the sea.
