Woodstock is part of the Cape Town City Bowl. Thus conveniently located close to the Cape Town CBD, 3,4 Km's which is a charmingly compact City with a variety of historic and contemporary attractions suited to all tastes that one can easily explore on foot, by bicycle, or public transport.

Uber fares to Long Street (central Cape Town) are low at +-R40.

Other things to note

The area now ******** by the Khoikhoi people from the 5th cent CE to 1666, when Dutch immigrants established a farm named "Roodebloem" (Red Flower) here, on the sunny slopes of Table Mountain. The original farm house can be visited just 200 meters away, as it is now an Art School, Ruth Prowse School of Art.

A mannor house was built in what is now Lawley Road. This is now the home of the King James media company.

The house is 90+ years old, with honey coloured Oregan floors. High ceilings create an elegant ambience. Fused with modern bathrooms, a kitchen that's open to the lounge & then dining room, which makes for contemporary comfort and entertaining!

2 Bedrooms, each with queen sized beds & bright white linen. 2 full bathrooms with all amenities. The kitchen is fitted with a 4 burner gas hob & oven, with basic cooking equipment for your use. There is dishwasher and washing machine. Basic detergent will be provided, and guests will be required to purchase more according to their needs. There is a microwave & fridge/freezer, granite tops, lots of storage and downlighting.

The bedrooms are fitted with built in cupboards.

The property contains a back yard with patio furniture, a barbecue grill, and partial mountain views. Vehicle parking is on the street. There is a garden cottage which is rented separately, has its own entrance, and own small private garden.

Woodstock is a heritage district. One of the few mixed race areas during Apartheid, it is now one of the most integrated cross cultural neighbourhoods in South Africa. A village feel with a charm of its own, whilst being only 3.4km from the very centre of Cape Town.

This proximity to downtown makes it a highly sought after area with very high real estate prices and an eclectic mix of interesting people, young professionals, artists and young families.
