This detached chalet in St-Cergue is offered primarily to couples and solo travellers looking for a calm, private place to reconnect with nature, enjoy quiet evenings, and slow down in the Jura mountains.
The chalet is well suited to romantic stays, creative retreats, and nature-reset getaways. While it can accommodate a small family or an additional guest when needed, the space is intentionally kept intimate and is best enjoyed by one or two adults.
Built in the 1960s in traditional Valais wood-and-stone style, the chalet has thick, solid walls and a strong sense of privacy. The interior has been fully renovated and combines original character with modern comfort, including programmable heating and an efficient central fireplace that heats the entire home.
Mature trees surround the chalet, creating a peaceful, secluded atmosphere while still allowing views of the sky and the Swiss Alps.
Minimum stay: 3 nights.
Shorter stays may be considered only occasionally and by prior agreement.
For stays of 30 days, we will work out a price. This platform does not appear to properly apply the 50% discount that we offer.
The living space centres around a large original fireplace, ideal for quiet evenings indoors. A balcony extends from the living room and can be used for outdoor meals in spring and summer, with views over the surrounding forest and mountains.
A separate, fully heated Carnotzet (traditional Swiss room) is available for fondue or raclette meals. It is fully equipped and allows guests to enjoy cheese meals without bringing cooking odours into the sleeping areas.
A dedicated workspace is available for guests who wish to work, write, or create in a calm environment.
Sleeping arrangements:
One main bedroom suitable for adults with a Queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm)
A second, smaller bedroom primarily intended for children (bed length 160 cm / 5'3")
For comfort and space, stays with one or two adults are preferred.
