It is important to note that Mykonos Town is a vibrant, world-famous destination that carries a lively background energy and ambient sound, especially during summer nights. However, because we are insulated within a gated residential enclave, Hedoni provides an exceptional layer of protection and a peaceful buffer compared to almost anywhere else in the center.

The Heart of Chora (4-Minute Walk): You are steps away from the famous whitewashed labyrinth of Matoyianni Street, packed with high-end designer boutiques, local artisan shops, and excellent bakeries.

World-Class Dining & Nightlife (5-Minute Walk): Walk to the iconic cocktail bars and fine-dining restaurants of Little Venice, or enjoy a sunset drink staring up at the famous Kato Mili Windmills. You are close enough to join the action in minutes, but far enough removed to have your own private space to return to.

Fabrika Bus Station (4-Minute Walk): Planning to visit Scorpios, Nammos, or the famous southern beaches? The main bus terminal at Fabrika Square is just a short, flat walk away, making it incredibly easy to explore the rest of the island without needing a rental car.

Mykonos Town is a pedestrian-only zone, meaning there are no cars allowed in the historic center. You will get to experience the authentic charm of wandering the cobblestone stone alleys, finding hidden bougainvillea-draped cafes, and soaking in the classic Cycladic architecture right from your doorstep. Getting Around

Due to the historic, pedestrian-only layout of Mykonos Town (Chora), the immediate area surrounding Hedoni is entirely car-free. This makes walking the easiest and most beautiful way to explore the town center. However, traveling to the island’s famous beaches and ports is incredibly straightforward once you understand the local transport options.

Walking (Your Primary Method in Town) Since vehicles are not permitted inside the stone streets of Chora, you will explore the local area completely on foot. Fortunately, Hedoni sits in a highly walkable, flat pocket of town. You are just a two to four-minute walk from the heart of the shopping district, restaurants, and sights.

The Public Bus System (Highly Recommended) Mykonos has an efficient and comfortable public coach bus system (KTEL) that is the most cost-effective way to get around.

Fabrika Square Bus Station: Located just a four-minute walk from the suite, this is the main transport hub for the island's southern beaches. From here, you can easily catch frequent buses to Ornos, Platis Gialos, Paraga, and Paradise Beach.

Fares: Tickets typically cost between 2 and 3 EUR per ride. You can buy them at the Fabrika ticket kiosk or directly from the driver in ********.

The Mykonos SeaBus If you are arriving or departing by ferry via the New Port (Tourlos), the SeaBus is the absolute easiest, most stress-free connection. It runs every 30 minutes directly between the New Port and the Old Port (located on the edge of the town center) for only 2 EUR. It completely bypasses road traffic and drops you off right at the pedestrian zone.

Taxis and Private Transfers There is a main taxi stand located right next to the Fabrika bus station. Please note that official taxis on Mykonos are very limited in number and can have extremely long wait times during the peak summer months. If you have tight flight or ferry connections, we highly recommend pre-booking a private transfer in advance to ******** a ride on time.

Should You Rent a Car or Scooter? If you plan to spend most of your holiday enjoying Mykonos Town and the major southern beaches, we strongly advise against renting a car. Parking near the town center is exceptionally scarce, strictly regulated, and very expensive. Scooter or ATV rentals can be a fun alternative for exploring remote areas, but for a standard resort-style vacation, the combination of walking and using the public buses from nearby Fabrika is much cheaper and completely stress-free. 📝 Other Things to Note
