Modern comforts sit alongside genuine antique pieces throughout the house, each with its own story tied to the region. both bedrooms holds one double bed and one single bed, every room with its own en-suite bathroom, for space enough for six guests. The kitchen here is fully shared and fully equipped, with a dining table for the whole group, and doors that open onto a garden bordering the Sapoa River — close enough for a swim or some recreational fishing without leaving the property. The estate around the house acts as a natural biological corridor, so it's worth keeping an eye out the window for birdlife and the occasional troop of monkeys.

You'll have full access to the entire cottage, as well as the property's shared amenities and common areas. On arrival, the finca's caretaker meets you in person at the gated stone entrance and hands over the keys directly. The house includes its own private kitchen and direct access to the Sapoa River within the estate. Casa Paz sits in Carrizal, a quiet, rural stretch of La Cruz in Guanacaste where the pace still runs on pura vida time. The estate functions as a natural biological corridor, ringed by native trees and the wildlife that comes with them — keep an eye out for birdlife and the occasional troop of monkeys passing through. It's a short drive into town for day-to-day supplies, and about 15 to 20 minutes to Playa Rajada and Playa Rajadita, two of Guanacaste's most understated white-sand beaches. Santa Rosa National Park, one of Costa Rica's oldest protected areas, is also close by for a day of hiking through tropical dry forest. A rental car — ideally an SUV or 4x4 — is the best way to make the most of Guanacaste's coastal roads from here. Town is a short drive away for anything you need day to day, while Playa Rajada and Playa Rajadita are a smooth 15 to 20 minutes further. The Nicaraguan border is about 20 minutes beyond that, close enough for a day trip across the line and back the same night. Parking is free and included within the gated property.
