The neighborhood is quite quiet at night and something moved by day by the schools and offices around, but very safe, nothing to worry about. The house is within the city, very close to everything. We are located 5 minutes walking from the city center, with very cheap public transport from 0.80 cents of Peruvian Sol in a bus / taxi or you can also use a private taxi from the house to any part of Huaraz for 3 Peruvian soles or 1 US dollar. All very close to travel agencies or bus stations, even the nightclubs and bars are very close.
