Beautiful location with views of the ocean and islands from the bedroom. So quiet and the pool makes it easy to relax. There is plenty to explore around Mission Beach so I would do something in the morning and just laze around the pool in the afternoon. Darryl is a great host. Very accommodating and having lived there many years had great advice about what to do and where to go. I stayed three nights and will come back again in the future.

It was a pleasure to be able to stay with Daryl in the little self contained section within his house in the tropics - just a 2 hour drive south of Cairns. Location with views of the Coral Sea and Dunk Island really is beautiful, with an awesome sunrise in the morning. Daryl always warm and hospitable and is very well travelled - communications prior to arrival was also excellent. There are some good cafes and rainforest walks just a close drive away, and what a great to be able to end the day with a naked swim in the pool. Big thank you again Daryl - here's hoping to see you in Berlin sometime soon!

Lovely location - super lush, with an amazing view. Daryl was accommodating and very welcoming. An enjoyable stay and great central base for different activities in the area.

Beautiful tropical paradise in a peaceful part of the Mission Beach locality. Great views out over the water giving vistas out to Dunk Island and south to Hinchinbrook Island. Daryl has created such a peaceful haven and provided everything I needed for my stay. Thanks Daryl. See you in 2023!

I had originally booked for a week, however the weather wasn't kind. I stayed for 3 nights and Daryl was kind and loved to chat.

Daryl is a splendid host. He was friendly, courteous, helpful and a great conversationalist. His guest room was very comfortable with a view out of this world. I would recommend his bnb to any gay traveller.

Escape from it all in the "jungle". Very peaceful. Feels very remote but only 15 mins to drive to a local cafe or restaurant. Great outlook from the room/deck. Daryl was really helpful and flexible with dates when covid hit parts of QLD. We stayed here with our small dog. It was explained before arriving that pets are not allowed inside the room, so ours slept on the veranda just outside our patio door. We did stress being in the tropics that a snake would eat our dog tho which didn't help. LoL
